My pick of the week comes from Manya & Roumen, a husband and wife duo with some amazing jewelry designs. Love this cute owl and cat team handing out on this ring from their “Stories Collection.” This ring is done in 18k yellow gold with tsavorite garnets and white sapphires for eyes, and a pink tourmaline. Funny to realize that their jewelry designing talent sprang from a promise that Manya made to Roumen stating that she would make their wedding rings. Their collaboration has created jewels with a whimsical feel, filled with nature-inspired subjects. They put it best by saying, “Each piece tells a story, but each wearer interprets the story differently.”

The weeks are passing by so quickly–everyday it gets darker a bit earlier, and a littler cooler than it was before. Brooches are not a top pick for many jewelry collectors and they were never my favorite. It was only until my first purchase of this Victorian brooch with enameling that I became an overnight fan. I like the immense versatility of brooches–you can seriously pin them anywhere you’d like. So far I’ve used mine on button up shirts, to close a cardigan, pinned to a suede headband, and on purses (like above). I’ve seen tiny Victorian bar pins that I think are so beautiful, I am on the hunt!
Do any of you have bar pins? Any bar pin collectors out there?

My Pick of the Week:
The Fulvia ring from Wendy Brandes’ Jewelry Collection. This ring is done in 18k yellow gold with an exquisite 6.5 carat green tourmaline. Anyone who would wear this ring would put me under a spell–I wouldn’t be able to take my eyes off of it! I love the architectural design of the ring, it goes so well with the tourmaline’s cut and color. Price: $5000

My eBay Pick of the Week:
I’ve had my eye on necklaces of this style: sort of like a bib but not that drastic. This one is from eBay seller: doverjewelry whom I’ve purchased from before, very reputable. The necklace is done in 14k rose gold with a single buttercup set diamond. Love the filigree work (sidenote: you can have a fun time typing in keyword: filigree into eBay). Only thing, I wish the necklace length were a bit longer. Wonder who the lucky high bidder will be?!

…It’s true! I love this heart ring! The color combination of the turquoise, pink sapphires and yellow gold is so beautiful. It makes you wonder why we don’t see this combination more often. I think that is what sets Elisa Solomon a part from other jewelry designers–she can take an iconic symbol and give it a fresh look. Whether it is with unique gemstone combinations or different gold textures, her jewelry stands above the rest!
The heart ring is currently $468, and is available in sizes 4-7.5 Only for a limited time, spring savings and free shipping! Check it out here.

My pick of the week comes from Doyle & Doyle, a team of two sisters who specialize in hand-picking unique estate and antique jewelry. With twelve years in this business, you know everything in their store or on their site is remarkable! While browsing through inventory on their website, I came across this precious necklace. You may remember how I said doves are an important symbol in my life from this post. And this necklace is just as cute! It is 14k yellow gold with blue guilloche enamel design on the pendant. I like how the two doves are together, rather than just having one alone. It sells for $375.

I’ve decided to start a weekly post for my pick of the week. There are no rules or stipulations–just whatever bracelet, necklace, ring, or earrings I feel should be mentioned, or is currently on my personal wish list. Hopefully you will enjoy my choices, and you can even chime in with items you’ve spotted that you just “can’t live without!” Feel free to post links in the comments section below each weekly “pick of the week!” So check back every Wednesday.

This week’s pick is this princess skull necklace. It is made of 9k gold, and rubies with white sapphires. Definitely a glammed up version of the rocker chic look. The shape almost resembles a cross–done purposely? Not sure, but you can purchase this at Kabiri which is a website that houses all sorts of eclectic pieces of jewelry from across the pond. Check it out at www.kabiri.co.uk
